Introducing the DoorTRACE client portal

4 June 2026 3 min readBy The DoorTRACE Team

We have launched the DoorTRACE client portal, and it changes who gets to see the compliance picture.

Until now, the live view of a building's fire door compliance sat with the FM company managing the work. Their clients, the building owners, managing agents and responsible persons, received reports when they were sent. The new client portal closes that gap.

What it does

FM companies on DoorTRACE can now invite their own clients into a dedicated client portal. Once invited, a client logs in and sees the live position for the buildings that belong to them: which doors are compliant, what is overdue, what defects are open, and the full inspection history behind each door.

It is read-focused and scoped tightly. A client sees their own buildings and nothing else, with the same append-only audit trail that sits behind every record on the platform. There is no spreadsheet to email, no report to dig out of an inbox, and no waiting for someone to reply.

Why it matters

Responsible persons carry the legal accountability for fire door compliance, even when the inspections are carried out by someone else. That accountability is far easier to meet when the evidence is in front of you rather than sitting in another organisation's system.

For the FM company, it removes a steady stream of "can you send me the latest report" requests and replaces it with something better: a client who can self-serve the answer at any moment, and who can see the work being done. Transparency tends to build trust, and trust tends to keep clients.

How it fits the rest of the platform

The client portal sits alongside the management portal your team already uses and the engineer app your inspectors work from. The same inspection that an engineer completes on site flows into the report your client can open minutes later, and into the reports and audit trail that prove it happened.

How DoorTRACE helps

If you manage fire door compliance for clients and want them to see it without lifting a finger, the client portal is ready now. It is part of the platform at no extra cost for the clients you already manage. Take a look at the client portal or book a demo and we will walk you through inviting your first client.
