Client Portal

The only fire-door platform that gives your clients their own portal.

A branded, read-only window onto live compliance for every Responsible Person you support. White-labelled per client, multi-tenant by default, included in the platform. Available on no other UK fire-door compliance product.

What it is

Every other compliance platform makes you email PDF reports to your clients. Or worse, hands them a login to the same system your engineers use. We did the obvious thing no one else has done: built a separate, branded, read-only portal for the people who carry the legal duty.

Each client gets their own subdomain on doortrace.co.uk, with your logo, your colour, your name on the login page. They see live compliance the second an engineer signs off an inspection. They download branded PDF reports themselves. They never have to email you to prove they're compliant. The DoorTRACE mark only appears as a small 'Powered by' line in the footer. To them, it looks bespoke. To you, it's one switch in the portal.

What it does

Four things
the client portal does well.

Their URL. Your brand.

Each client gets a dedicated subdomain on doortrace.co.uk with your logo, name, and colour treatment. Wildcard SSL is included, branding is one setting, and DoorTRACE only appears as a small footer mark.

Read-only by design.

Clients can see inspections, defects, reports, and audit history but cannot edit, delete, or change anything. Two roles - admin (full visibility) and viewer (read-only by user). Every view is logged.

Live, not lagging.

Compliance status updates the moment an engineer signs off an inspection. No nightly batch jobs, no monthly PDFs, no chasing your office for the latest figures. Clients see what you see, when you see it.

Self-serve reports.

Inspection certificates, defect schedules, building summaries, full audit trails - all downloadable as branded PDFs on demand. The Responsible Person no longer has to ask you to prove they're meeting their duty.

Where we go further

Six things
no one else does at all.

Client visibility

Other software

Monthly or quarterly PDF reports, emailed manually. Clients are always looking at last month's data. If they need today's status, they have to phone you.

DoorTRACE

Live compliance dashboard, updated the second an engineer signs off an inspection. Clients see what you see, when you see it.

Branding

Other software

Clients see the software vendor's logo and name on every screen. The FM is one tier removed from the brand experience. Or worse, no client-facing surface at all.

DoorTRACE

Each client sees your brand on their own URL. Your logo on the login page, your name in the navigation. DoorTRACE appears only as a small 'Powered by' footer mark.

Access model

Other software

Either no client access at all, or give them a login to the FM's own portal. Confusing for the client, security risk for the FM, breaks separation between operations and reporting.

DoorTRACE

Purpose-built read-only client surface. Designed from day one for the Responsible Person, not retrofitted from internal tooling.

Multi-tenant isolation

Other software

Shared databases with row-level filtering. Clients potentially see each other's data if the filter breaks. Or single-tenant with separate deployments per client (expensive, slow).

DoorTRACE

True multi-tenant isolation enforced at the database layer. Company A has zero visibility into Company B - they don't even know it exists.

Public verification

Other software

Compliance evidence is locked inside the platform. Residents, fire wardens, and regulators have to take the FM's word for it.

DoorTRACE

Every door has a tamper-evident QR plaque. Anyone can scan it - no login, no app - and see a public, verified compliance summary for that door.

Cost to client

Other software

Per-seat charges, named-user licences, or separate client modules billed to the client directly. Friction every time you want to onboard a new Responsible Person.

DoorTRACE

Included in the platform. No per-seat charge for clients, no separate billing relationship between DoorTRACE and them. Add as many client users as you need.

White-labelling

One platform underneath.
Every client on their own URL.

Multi-tenant subdomain hosting is the core of the Client Portal. Every client you add gets their own dedicated subdomain, with wildcard SSL, white-labelled branding, and full multi-tenant isolation.

When a Responsible Person types yourcompany.doortrace.co.uk into their browser, they land on a login page with your logo, your colour treatment, and a sign-in form that knows exactly which tenant they belong to. They don't pick from a list. They don't navigate. They just sign in.

Once they're in, every page is yours. The portal data, the branded PDF reports, the audit trail - everything stamped with your brand. DoorTRACE appears only as a single 'Powered by' line in the footer. To the Responsible Person, the platform is yours.

Wildcard SSL, no extra setup

All subdomains under *.doortrace.co.uk are covered by a single wildcard certificate. Adding a new client takes seconds, not a DNS ticket.

Isolated at the database layer

Tenant ID checked on every query. A misconfigured filter cannot leak data between clients because the constraint lives in the database, not the application code.

Branded PDFs, not generic exports

Reports carry your logo and contact details, not DoorTRACE's. The client can hand them to a regulator, a fire officer, or an insurer with confidence.

Public door pages

Compliance, visible to anyone.
No app. No login. Just a phone.

Every door in your portfolio has a QR plaque. Anyone scanning it lands on the door's public page.

Residents, fire wardens, regulators, tenants. They see when the door was last inspected, the result, who inspected it, and when the next inspection is due. No app, no login, no phone calls to your client's office.

For Responsible Persons, this means the evidence isn't trapped inside a portal. It's on the door itself. For everyone else in the building, it's reassurance that fire safety isn't a tick-box exercise.

What everyone sees vs what clients see
The screenshot above is the public scan page - accessible to anyone with a phone. The Client Portal sits one level deeper: same data, but with the full inspection record, defect photos, engineer notes, and downloadable PDFs, all wrapped in your branding at [your-name].doortrace.co.uk.
The advantage
"No other UK fire-door compliance platform gives FMs a purpose-built, branded client portal. This is the one thing they cannot match."
Common questions

Quick answers
before you book a demo.

You do. It's included in the platform: no separate module, no per-seat charge on the client side, and no billing relationship between DoorTRACE and your clients. You add clients in your portal settings, send an invite, and they're in.
